The picture is a little skewed, but it really is perfectly 12" square. |
I thought you might want to see the back with all those stitches and knots. I am going to fuse a piece of busy fabric to the back, since this is two-sided fusible Peltex. The backing will have two tabs attached on each side, hidden from the front, so that it can be pinned to the display. Remember that it can't have a right way up, but must be able to be hung in any direction. I will make a lot of hidden little stitches from front to back to keep the fusible from pulling away.
If you click on any picture, you can see the details on all of them. I am linking up with Off the Wall Friday, as usual.

Wonderful, i love it!
I am SQUEALING.....this piece is soooo fabulous.......but you knew I'd say that......the embellishment bug sure is hard to fight off once you start!!!
Looks great!
Such whimsey. Love it!
I absolutely love your button art piece! It is outstanding! I have a bunch of buttons that I bought for a particular dream project. I find myself being tempted to "dip" into my stash and just go crazy on something artistic. Seeing something like your art really ramps up the temptation! Thank you for sharing it!
Lovely color. You should do a huge one! :)
I can imagine how tedious it must have been sewing on all those buttons, but I LOVE it!
WOW! This turned out great! I'm surprised you didn't get tendonitis or carpal tunnel syndrome!
awesome I just love it. What a statement and all the special ones in there too.
I can just see you making it, choosing each to go in some location, this one not that. Then the mixed colored one up in the corner. Sewing through peltex isn't the most easy thing. Did it give enough body to support it when done?? LeeAnna
