Temples and Buddhas

We saw plenty of both. In no particular order, just a small sampling.

In this temple the buddhas all wore gold robes.

My travel companions, Claire and Mickie. My sister usually accompanies us on our big trips, but she thought that it would have been too strenuous for her and she was right.

A large monastery. The nuns in white robes shave their heads and do all the cooking for the monks, wearing saffron robes in the distance. The nuns live in very humble buildings across the way.

You cannot tell by the picture, but this reclining Buddha was huge.
