I don't think the lower right corner looks so dark in person. I will probably quilt it in wavy lines, going from the upper left hand corner to the lower right, although I didn't like the distortion I got on Big Green. But I can wait awhile for that because I have other things to deal with now. More about that in a couple of weeks.
I'm linking up with Off the Wall Friday. Go see what everyone's up to.

Absolutely smashing! Will the wavy lines try to mirror the strips? Or will they go opposite, making cross-hatches? (Horizontal quiting across vertical strips, etc.) And I don't think the bottom R square is too dark. It's expected that it will be very dark, like the upper L will be very light.
I really love the color shift and the piecing pattern on this. So wonderful!
Wow! I love it!
You promised us a change in colour scheme Norma, and you have delivered! Taste in colour is an interesting thing - and do you find you are quite happy to quilt/work in colours you would not dream of wearing? For the last 30 years, this has been my favorite palette, one that I love and the one I really felt comfortable wearing (unlike your green!). In the past couple of years I have found myself moving into blues - a colour which I have quilted a lot, but could never have seen myself wear.
I have a couple of pieces on the go, one in blues and one - would you believe - in greens. Still can't see me wearing in though!
Look forward to see it quilted
Stunning, Norma. I particularly love the strong horizontal lines in opposition to the diagonal shift of values.
That's stunning. I would imagine it might distort because of running along the bias. Wonder how you'd stabilize it so that wouldn't happen. You'll figure it out! There's always blocking after quilting.

Love this! It positively glows!
I agree it is a quilt that glows! I really like the graduation and movement of colour. Looking forward to seeing it quilted!
