I love Oregon; visited the Chinese garden last year in Portland. Now that I see your photos, I'm definitely checking out the Japanese gardens next time.
Oh, I love that little flower.....I have a picture of it also but didn't take a picture of the name or write down what it was called.....do you know what it is?? Loved our day at NYBG. Sue

No, I don't know what it is. I think it was on a rather big tree.
