Hmmmmm?

I was rather taken aback when I went to Home Goods yesterday and saw this print for sale. Does it remind you of my work? I have done several quilts in this series and you can see more on the Geometrics page on my blog.

Sooooo, what do you think? I know that there is nothing new under the sun, but............

Very very similar style. Unfortunately, unless they copied you EXACTLY this non lawyer does not think you have a case. However, IF you have a lawyer in your area where the first visit is free because they work on a % of the resolved case money coming in, I would go for a consultation.
Hope you had a GREAT trip! Love to hear about it.

There are many people who make quilts in this style. So, I wouldn't think that your quilts had been specifically copied, but that a style of many quilts that I have seen was the inspiration.

Definitely similar but more and more people are doing this free form style now. You were probably one of if not the first to do it. I like your color pallet better than the print though. 250 bucks for a print sounds like a lot to me. If we could all sell prints of our work for that , wouldn’t it be grand 😊

I agree with other commenters. Similar shapes and forms, but they are in use by a lot of artists. I think it is a coincidence.

I agree with Ann. If you can get a free consult, you should.

grrr I feel your pain! Copying is not the sincerest form of compliment. It's copying and angering. As to the style thing... I don't know but Paula Nadelstern sued the hilton for the carpet design and won. Did they copy an exact quilt of hers or was it her style? Lots of people are doing improv so it's cloudy.
